This is the introductory year of SeaTech. Members in the 5th through 7th grade can become junior members of SeaTech by joining Ultimate Oceans. Through hands-on education, art, and technology-based meetings, members learn about many amazing ocean animals, the habitat in which they live, and their importance in the environment. In addition, members are exposed to possible careers in marine science. Ultimate Oceans meets once each week for 1 1/2 hours.

Ocean Institute is a nationally recognized non-profit, educational organization specializing in marine and environmental science and maritime history. Ocean Institute operates the 70-foot R/V Sea Explorer, a marine educational vessel, dedicated to environmental education.
