SeaTech - Summer Academy

A five-day field trip to explore careers in marine science was held in 2008

During the five-day academy, the teens explored careers in marine science and technology. They engaged in a number of exciting activities, including building Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs), researching on the R/V Sea Explorer, learning acoustic software, spending the night at the Ocean Institute, and snorkeling at Catalina Island.

R/V Sea Explorer Ocean Institute is a nationally recognized non-profit, educational organization specializing in marine and environmental science and maritime history. Ocean Institute operates the 70-foot R/V Sea Explorer, a marine educational vessel, dedicated to environmental education.
