About SeaTech Programs
SeaTech Teen Club allows intrepid Boys & Girls Clubs members to explore ocean science and information technology (IT) careers as they venture into the field and onto the open ocean. During their involvement in SeaTech, members have an opportunity to participate in four years of science and IT-rich experiences at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley. During Ultimate Oceans. members dive into science, art, and technology classes as they explore different ocean organisms and habitats. During SeaTech Year 1, members explore ocean science content and careers through club meetings and field trips. They communicate their experiences through Web pages that they design that include images, journals, and interviews. During SeaTech Year 2, members build resumes; practice interviewing; and learn to use Triton, an acoustic analysis software, to apply for an internship with the Whale Acoustics Lab at Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
Ultimate Oceans is the introductory program to SeaTech for kids in the 5th - 7th grade.
Youths in 8th and 9th grade participate in nine months of meetings exploring ocean science and building Web pages.
Students have exciting and astounding career, college, and internship possibilities.
During the five-day academy, teens explore careers in marine science and technology.

Scripps Institution of Oceanography Scripps Institution of Oceanography is one of the oldest, largest, and most important centers for marine science research, graduate training, and public service in the world. Research encompasses physical, chemical, biological, geological, and geophysical studies of the ocean.
